Every year through a progressive capital improvement plan, we're able to offer our guests property upgrades to accommodations and amenities to provide the most rewarding lodging experience. SMOKE FREE NOTICE
As of July 5, 2010, smoking is prohibited in all Lodging facilities in the State of Wisconsin per State Statute 101.123. We are proud to say that The Pointe's units and interior areas of our buildings have been smoke free since 1999.
In staying with the spirit of the State Law, and with our sincere concerns for the well being of all our guests, beginning July 5, 2010 our lodging unit balcony decks and walk-out patios will be smoke free areas.

NEW ADIRONDACK CHAIRS - June 2010
With the new back lawn comes new, comfortable Adirondack chairs available the middle of the month. Now our guests can sit by the hillside overlooking the lake and enjoy a good cup of coffee, morning newspaper or relax away the afternoon indulging in a good book.
MORE BICYCLES ADDED - June 2010
Six additional new Raleigh seven speed bicycles have been added to our rental fleet of bikes. Enjoy exploring the downtown area or the historical Bearskin State Trail; a great way to see the quiet side of Minocqua.
NEW LAWN and PICNIC AREAS - May 2010
What a facelift! The lawn area behind the hotel overlooking the lake has received a new facelift with 12,500 square feet of new sod laid on May 20 & 21. What a great place this will be to kick off your sandels and walk in the plushness of thick green grass. O-O-O-O-H, it feels so good on the feet.
As long as we were making this improvement we also ridded ourselves of the crushed red granite picnic table patios, replacing them with beautiful black/brown patio brick. What a great place to have a family picnic!!!

move guests from floor to floor. Although some guests prefer walking the stairs, a new elevator is available to wisk others and their luggage to our lower and upper level Condo-Suites and "Top of The Pointe Banquet/Meeting Center. We're excited...and we know you will be too! Construction is complete and our newest amenity is available for use.

HD/LCD FLAT SCREEN TELEVISIONS - October 2008
The trend is clear...it's what guests are looking for, and we made it happen! In October 2008, all lodging units received new LG flat screen HD/LCD televisions. What a nice way to kickback for the evening and enjoy television or a DVD or movie.

CARPET UPGRADES - January 2008
Once again, we have completed a capital improvement that will appeal to our guests and improve the comfort level of our property; important aspects to our operation. In January 2008 our hotel corridors, stairwells and entry's, as well as our lobby area corridors and our meeting rooms received a beautiful improvement with new carpet installation throughout.
SWIMMING POOL IMPROVEMENTS - November 2007
In 2007 our property completed additional capital improvements to our Recreation & Pool Center. A new pool deck, pool wall surface and fieldstone added to our cedar walls surrounding the pool have enhanced the beauty of this area. Everyone likes a beautiful indoor pool to enjoy during their lodging experience and our hotel has just that. Our complex features a 24,000 gallon pool, 2,600 gallon (14 person) whirlpool, large cedar sauna and fitness room.
Our committment to offering the best lodging facility and amenities in the Northwoods, is never-ending. This continues to be just one of many common areas within the hotel where guests can enjoy the soothing lodge surroundings while relaxing in the warmth of the pool's environment.

UNIT UPGRADES - 2004, 2005 & 2009
Over the past few years many of our lodging Condo-Suites and Studios have had extensive upgrades in furnishings, fixtures, flooring and window treatments. This is an on-going process and our goal is simple; to give our guests updated accommodations, well appointed lodging units. New for July 2009 is a just completed renovation of our Studio units.
RECREATION AT ITS BEST - Summer 2006
In summer enjoy our newest hotel amenities including bicycles, canoes and kayaks. Now, guests can experience the beauty of the northwoods by lake or road. Also, to add more fun to a stay, a large on-site family golf putting green is available. Here, all ages can challenge the green; putters and golf balls are provided.
CAMPFIRE PATIO IMPROVEMENT - Summer 2006
Guests can enjoy our lakeside campfire patio. When darkness settles in, the crackling hardwood fire, soft lake breeze, the moon and a million twinkling stars overhead make for a special place to gather with family, friends and fellow guests to quietly socialize the evening away.
